🗣 Director of Athletics Zac Selmon: "As we continue to invest in excellence at Mississippi State, the future of our football program is incredibly bright with the addition of Jeff Lebby at the helm. I am confident that Jeff is the perfect leader for the next exciting chapter of Mississippi State football. He will bring an exciting brand of football, elite student-athlete development, and a winning culture to Starkville, all while doing so with high integrity. He is a dynamic recruiter who will attract an elite coaching staff and the nation's top talent.

One of college football's top offensive minds, Lebby has orchestrated high-octane offenses at every stop of his career—including Oklahoma, Ole Miss and UCF.

Most recently in 2023, Lebby's prolific unit is one of only three in the country to rank inside the top six nationally in total offense, scoring offense and passing offense. LSU and Oregon are the others.

An elite recruiter and dynamic talent developer, Lebby's offenses are known for lighting up the scoreboard and racking up yards. Since becoming an offensive coordinator at the FBS level in 2019, he has led all active offensive coordinators in 50+ point games (14). His 2023 unit at Oklahoma has scored 65+ points three times (most in the FBS) and sits at No. 3 nationally in scoring offense (43.2 ppg).

🔼 We Are The Champions. Senior guard Darrione Rogers and sophomore guard Debreasha Powe each poured in 20-plus points and combined for 12 threes to lead Mississippi State to a 102-58 win over Tulsa at the Merrell Center on Sunday—earning their place as the 2023 Van Chancellor Classic champion and remaining unbeaten at 8-0.

The 8-0 start ties the best start for the program since the 2019-2020 season

📆 Mississippi State will host RV/RV Miami (Fla.) in the inaugural SEC/ACC Challenge on Wednesday inside Humphrey Coliseum at 6:15 p.m.

🔼 Hanging In The Balance. The 25th-ranked Bulldogs improved to 6-0 on the year following a 74-61 victory over Nicholls, shooting 42.6 percent from the field and outrebounding the Colonels by 19 in front of a season-high crowd of 7,571 inside Humphrey Coliseum.

Coach Chris Jans saw the first 11 players he called upon reach the scoring column in the first 30 minutes of action. Josh Hubbard led the way with 15 points followed by Cameron Matthews with 12 points and Jimmy Bell Jr. with 11 points and 10 rebounds. It was the fourth consecutive contest Hubbard has led MSU in scoring with the freshman guard now averaging 16.2 points per game.

🗣 Coach Chris Jans: "I enjoy having balanced scoring," Jans said. "Certainly, we're not trying to hold anyone down but at the same time, it just makes it so difficult to prepare against from a defensive scouting perspective. If there's multiple guys that can have big nights, you're not relying on one thing over and over to carry you offensively."

📆 Mississippi State faces its first road test of the season tomorrow night traveling to take on Georgia Tech at 6 p.m. CT on ACC Network.

🔼 Senior Moment. Mississippi State volleyball closed out its regular season and celebrated Senior Day in style with a 3-1 victory over LSU on Saturday evening inside the Newell-Grissom Building.

Prior to the match, State took time to honor its 2023 senior class, including recognitions for Alexa Fortin Goede, Zoe Gonzales, Lauren Myrick, Emily Oerther, and volleyball manager Zach Stepp.

The Bulldogs took the first set 26-24, but LSU came back with a 25-17 win in the second set. MSU followed with a 25-14 win in the third and closed out the match with a 25-19 victory.
