Dear Ol’ State. Last week’s win wasn’t about stuffing the stat sheet for tight ends Ryland Goede and offensive lineman Steven Losoya. The pair were a big part of the reason State’s offense put up nearly 300 yards on the ground. Joel and Logan discuss the unsung heroes of last week’s win for the Bulldogs, and bring both Goede and Losoya on the show for exclusive interviews.

🔼 White Out. There’s no better feeling as a State football fan than ringing that cowbell after a Bulldog touchdown. Luckily for everyone, we get to do it again this Saturday when State takes on the Arizona at Davis Wade Stadium.
The two teams will meet for just the second time. If you remember last year’s game, the Bulldogs took care of business 39-17 behind Will Rogers’ 300+ yard performance in Tucson. Now, with the game coming to Starkville, the Wildcats will not only have to deal with Coach Arnett and the Bulldogs’ new system, they’ll also have to put up with the crowd in a good ol’ fashioned ‘White Out’.
Below are details on how you can stay tuned to Bulldog football this Saturday.
🔼 First Tee Time. Four months ago, Bulldog men’s golf finished the season at the NCAA Championships. Now, the team gears up for another season with the same goal, make it back to Carlsbad, CA for another shot at a NCAA title.
State will tee it up in their first tournament of the season at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate this weekend against some top-end talent, including a pair of SEC foes. The team returns four of its five starters from last year’s lineup, including Hunter Logan, Garrett Endicott, Pedro Cruz Silva and Harrison Davis. The newcomer, Josep Serra, joins the Bulldogs in the No. 4 slot just one year removed from winning the NCAA DII Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman award.
🗣️ “I love when we get back in the arena because we learn so much about ourselves and what kind of team we can ultimately become. This is the first step of a long journey.” - Head coach Dusty Smith
🔼 Battle Tested. The Bulldogs went toe-to-toe against one of the best scoring teams in the country and walked out with a tie in last night’s match against South Alabama.
The thrilling showdown saw the Bulldogs attempt more shots than their opponents which resulted in more shots on goal. Freshman forward Zoe Main broke the deadlock in the 71st minute with a strike slotted into the back of the net to give State the lead, but South Alabama scored in the 87th minute to put the game back in a tie. The result would stand, and the Bulldogs move to 4-1-2 on the season.
Next up, State will face off against ULM at home in Starkville this Sunday for their last non-conference game of the season.
🔼 From State to Sundays. The 2023 NFL season has officially kicked off with the first game between the Chiefs and the Lions in the books. This year, Mississippi State will have 22 football alums on NFL rosters, including Pro Bowl selections Fletcher Cox, Darius Slay and Dak Prescott. Two rookies, Emmanuel Forbes and Cameron Young, will also look to make their pro football debuts with their teams this weekend.
🔼 Road Tests. The 4-1 volleyDawgs are hitting the road for their third straight road game of the season tonight against Western Michigan, in the first ever meeting between the two teams. This weekend, State will be one of four teams to square off in the Kennesaw State Invitational, joining the hosts, Friday’s opponent Western Michigan, and Wake Forest.
🗣️ “These are three really tough teams and we know this will continue to push us to be the best version of ourselves.” - Head coach Julie Darty Dennis
