🎙️ DEAR OL’ STATE

Dear Ol’ State: Purvis, Jackson and a Big Game Ahead. 📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Showtime In The Desert. For the first time in program history, Bulldog football will face off against the Arizona State Sun Devils on Saturday in Tempe, AZ for a late 9:30 p.m. kickoff. After a convincing 56-7 win over Eastern Kentucky last weekend, the State offense and defense will look to continue their momentum on the road.

🔼 Tee It Up. Bulldog men’s golf will open its season at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate this weekend. The Bulldogs finished third at 13-under last year to open their 2023-24 campaign which also saw Hunter Logan claim the individual title. State sends out a lineup that features a healthy mix of veterans and fresh faces. Led by former All-American Garrett Endicott in the No. 1 slot, the Bulldogs will start Alejandro Fierro (No. 2), Josep Serra (No. 4) and incoming transfers Dain Richie (No. 3) and Ugo Malcor (No. 5). David Beard will play as an individual.

🔼 Hard Hitting Hosts. After Bulldog volleyball split a pair of matches last weekend to open the season, the team is set to host Michigan and Notre Dame for the StarkVegas Classic. Entering the tournament at 2-1, State will take on the Wolverines tonight at 6 p.m., followed by a Sunday matchup against the Fighting Irish on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Maroon and White faithful can attend either matchup for free.

🔼 Weather Woes. Due to heavy rains and resulting field conditions, State's scheduled match at Louisiana Tech has been canceled. Despite extensive efforts to find alternative arrangements, including relocating the match to a neutral site or hosting the match in Starkville, it was determined that the match would not be played or rescheduled.
