๐ŸŽ™๏ธ DEAR OLโ€™ STATE

Dear Olโ€™ State: Julie Darty Dennis and Dawgs Ready For First Home Matches. ๐Ÿ”ผ This Makes Three. For the third time in her illustrious career, The Haskins Foundation announced that Julia Lopez Ramirez was named to the ANNIKA Award Preseason Watch List. In 33 career tournaments, Lopez Ramirez has finished in the top 10 on 24 different occasions, with 20 of them being in the top five. She won a program-best eight individual titles, and two of her eight individual tournament wins resulted in her being the fourth golfer in history to win back-to-back SEC Individual Championships. After nearly capturing a ninth individual title in her 2024 season debut, Lopez Ramirez and the Bulldogs will continue their fall season on September 20 at the Mason Rudolph Championship.

๐Ÿ”ผ Bonding and Letting Loose. One game in Maroon and White was all it took for Kevin Coleman to solidify himself as a can't-miss piece of head coach Jeff Lebby's Showtime era at State. Coleman caught five passes for 88 yards and a touchdown against EKU while also returning five punts for a total of 117 yards. The showing made Coleman one of only eight FBS players to have 200 or more all-purpose yards in a game so far this season.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ "Kevin is a beast. We run routes, and we work together every single day catching balls, so that's one of my guys. I lean on Kevin, and he leans on me. He's a phenomenal player that's going to do a lot of great things this year. I'm just happy to watch it." - Jordan Mosely, wide receiver

๐Ÿ”ผ New Home. Get to know one of the latest additions to Bulldog menโ€™s basketball, junior transfer, Kanye Clary. Clary joins the team as one of six transfers to join the team for the 2024-25 season. Last year at Penn State, Clary collected 16.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.

๐Ÿ”ผ Hard Work Pays Off. For three years, linebacker Nic Mitchell kept his head down and worked for his big opportunity at Mississippi State. Behind former Bulldog standouts like Nathaniel Watson and Jett Johnson, Mitchell was getting better and better. He knew his time would come. Last Saturday, Mitchell's time was here. He drew his first career start in State's 56-7 season-opening win over Eastern Kentucky and went on to tie his career high with four tackles while also notching half a tackle for loss.
