🔼 Slow the Roll. State football will take on Alabama this weekend under the lights this Saturday in Starkville for what is sure to be quite the atmosphere.

Tulu Griffin looks to continue his momentum after his record-breaking performance, and the offense as a whole will look to build on its 519-yard performance last week. Jett Johnson looks to continue to anchor the defense as the team’s leader in tackles (45) and interceptions (2).

🔼 Back On Track. Bulldog cross country is returning to the course this weekend in Columbia, MO for the 5th Annual Gans Creek Classic. All five of the team’s top finishers from two weeks ago will be racing, with four runners coming off of personal-best times in the 5K. This race, however, will be the Bulldogs’ first test in a 6K this season.

🔼 No Volunteers Needed. The 6-3-2 Bulldog soccer squad will bring in the weekend with a highly anticipated match against Tennessee. State’s defense has stepped up big so far this season as goalkeeper Maddy Anderson ranks second in the SEC in saves (33) this season, and the back line allowing just 7.2 shots per game.

🗣️ “The energy, intensity and effort have all been present and we are looking forward to show what we are capable of by focusing on the things we can control.” - forward Aitana Martinez-Montoya

🔼 Book It. Mississippi State men’s basketball dates, tipoff times, and tv schedule are all set and ready to go for the SEC schedule. The Bulldogs will square off against South Carolina in the conference opener on national television on CBS in early January, and will wrap up the season against the same opponent inside Humphrey Coliseum.

🔼 Ranked Test. The Bulldogs will take on Tennessee this evening in State’s first ranked matchup of the season. The Bulldogs’ opponents enter the matchup as the No. 12 team in the country.

State’s outside hitters Karli Schmidt and Sophie Agee have combined for double-digit kills in 14 matches this season, while Lauren Myrick has averaged 4.45 digs per set, good enough for fourth in the SEC. The Bulldogs will look to improve their conference record to 2-1 with a win and an added bonus of spoiling their opponents ranking.
