🔼 Basketball Beware. Bulldog men’s basketball has been showered with preseason awards this offseason, and now with practice nearly underway, the team feels its time to make good on all of that recognition. Lindy’s Sports is high on the Bulldogs, and with all the praise Tolu Smith, Tre Fort and Dashawn Davis have received, there is reason to be excited for what’s to come this season at the renovated state-of-the-art Humphrey Coliseum.
🔼 Career Low. After finishing the day with a career-low 6-under par round, Josep Serra and the Bulldogs ended the stroke play portion of the tournament at 3-under par. Serra’s final round was one of just nine rounds that were 65 or lower during the tournament. The score helped him to a top-15 finish individually.
Today, the Bulldogs will take on LSU for the match play portion of the tournament.
🔼 Impact Players. State women’s basketball is primed for a great season under second-year head coach Sam Purcell, and a part of that is due to three new transfers. Lauren Park-Lane, Erynn Barnum and Darrione Rogers were all named as top transfers to impact the season by ESPN, so Bulldog fans, it’s officially time to get hyped.
🤔 BULLDOG TRIVIA
Win-Win. Both Bulldog basketball programs excelled under a pair of first-year head coaches, and in the process, racked up a fair share of wins.
