🔼 Men in the Mirror. This week, the Bulldogs will face off against their first SEC opponent against the nationally-ranked LSU Tigers. State will take on their biggest test of the season thus far, but in the end, it will be about how well they can focus on themselves.
🗣️ “You know [LSU] is extremely talent and well-coached and will come ready to play Saturday. But at the same time, it’s about us. We have to get better as a team.” - Quarterback Will Rogers
🔼 Bring It On. With the non-conference schedule behind them, the Bulldogs will begin facing off against their much anticipated SEC opponents.
Coming out of non-conference play, the Bulldogs have put together a solid season thus far. The team heads into SEC play with a 5-1-2 record thanks to State’s solid defensive play. The Bulldogs’ last line is allowing just 0.50 goals per game and have allowed only 52 shots compared to State offense’s 120.
Tonight, State will take on the Auburn Tigers in a ‘Maroon Out’ right at home in Starkville, MS.
🔼 Dear Ol’ State. Joel and Logan bring on a pair of State men’s basketball newcomers to the show - Josh Hubbard and Trey Fort. They discuss what it was like to join the team on their overseas trip, and some of their thoughts on the upcoming college basketball season.
🔼 Bulldogs On Sundays. In the NFL this Sunday, 23 Mississippi State alumni will suit up for their teams. Both players and coaches alike will jump back into action for Week 2 of the NFL including rookies Emmanuel Forbes for the Washington Commanders and Cameron Young for the Seattle Seahawks.
🔼 Broomsticks. In the opening game for the Maroon and White Invite, the Volleydawgs swept Lipscomb three sets to none for the victory. State rallied back to their winning ways, improving to 6-3 on the season. The standout player of the night was Zoe Gonzales who notched a season-high 10 blocks.
Next up, the Bulldogs will face Abilene Christian for their final non-conference game of the season.
