🔼 Big Play Waiting to Happen. If the preseason accolades weren’t enough for some to believe that Tulu Griffin was a playmaker for the Bulldog offense, then maybe his play against Arizona convinced them.

🗣️ “I expect big plays every time I get the ball, but then again, I just let the plays come to me.” - Tulu Griffin

The return specialist made his presence felt as a wide receiver after nabbing a team-leading five receptions, 83 yards and a pair of critical touchdown scores. His elusiveness and explosiveness give him the edge he needs to make those big plays, and with a packed house expected for this Saturday’s matchup with LSU, both Griffin and the fans will be buzzing with anticipation to see what he can do out on the field.

🔼 Impact Players. A pair of former Diamond Dawgs showed out in the big leagues as they helped bring their teams victories this week.

⚾️ Brandon Woodruff on the Brewers threw a complete game shutout on 106 pitches in a 12-0 win. He allowed just six hits on the night and struck out seven in the process.

⚾️ Brent Rooker helped the A’s to a victory thanks to his team leading 24th home run of the season on a 442-foot blast to left center.

🔼 Day Two Delight. On Day Two of the ANNIKA Intercollegiate, Bulldog women’s golf secured an under-par finish thanks to the stellar play from Avery Weed, Julia Lopez Ramirez and Surapa Janthamunee. Weed finished with the low round of the team after shooting a three-under par 69 on the day. Both Lopez Ramirez and Janthamunee finished under par as well with a pair of one-under par rounds.

The third and final round of the ANNIKA Intercollegiate starts this morning at 9:25am CT.
