🔼 Let The Journey Begin. This weekend opens SEC play for Bulldog volleyball as the team heads to Columbia, S.C., to take on the Gamecocks at 6 p.m. on Friday. State enters the match on a five-game win streak and with McKenna Yates fresh off being named the SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week after her stellar performance in the sweep against Southern Miss. Mississippi State ranks 3rd nationally and 2nd in the SEC in assists per set with 13.71 with Erin Kline leading the way for the Bulldog setters with six assists per set.

🔼 Man of The Year. Bulldog offensive lineman Albert Reese IV has been named to the eighth annual Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year award watchlist. As one of 52 players named to the watchlist, Reese was placed on a list that honors the nation's top leaders in college football. Each player is nominated by their school and has demonstrated a record of leadership by exhibiting exceptional courage, integrity and sportsmanship both on and off the field. Reese has been incredibly active in the community and has taken full advantage of the newly created D.A.W.G program.

🔼 Ready To Go. With the 2024-25 season in sight, Bulldog women’s basketball finalized its nonconference portion of the schedule which includes six games at The Hump and seven total inside the state of Mississippi. The Bulldogs enter their third season under head coach Sam Purcell, who has guided the program to consecutive campaigns of 20 or more wins over his first two seasons and will look to continue the streak, starting with hosting Memphis on Nov. 7.

🔼 Survive and Advance. Bulldog men’s tennis Petar Jovanovic secured a singles victory in the opening round of the main draw consolation bracket to move on at the ITA All-American Championships. The 12th-ranked Jovanovic showed off his talent, cruising past the Clemson senior in straight sets. Jovanovic advances to play the No. 70 singles player from Ohio State in the second round of the main draw consolation this morning at 9 a.m.
