🔼 Defensive Dominance. Bulldog soccer defender Rylie Combs has been named to the TopDrawerSoccer Women's Team of the Week following her stellar performances in the Bulldogs' back-to-back shutout victories over Oklahoma and No. 11 Texas. This recognition further solidifies Combs' status as one of the top defenders in the SEC, as she continues to anchor a Bulldog defense that has been a driving force in the team's historic start to the 2024 season. As a team, the Bulldogs rank second in the NCAA and SEC in goals-against average (0.22), fourth nationally in save percentage (.917), and second in the NCAA in shutout percentage (.889).

🔼 Chugging Along. No. 60 Mario Martinez Serrano and No. 107 Benito Sanchez Martinez both displayed impressive performances against a pair of ranked opponents at the ITA All-American Championships. Sanchez Martinez continued his trend of dominant tennis with his third career win over a ranked opponent in singles and first since clinching the highest-ranked win in program history. Martinez Serrano was equally as efficient during his qualifying consolation match with a straight-set win that secured his first ranked victory as a Bulldog.

🔼 Repeat Success. Following a fantastic freshman campaign, Bulldog men’s basketball standout guard Josh Hubbard will look to help lead the team to new heights in the 2024-25 season. Recently, college basketball analyst Andy Katz placed him as the second-best sophomore in the country after ending last season averaging 17.1 points per game en route to being named to the All-SEC Second Team.

🔼 Climbing The Ladder. Mississippi State soccer continues to reach new heights under head coach James Armstrong and staff. The Bulldogs added a new chapter to the program record book by earning the No. 9 spot in the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll, the highest ranking in program history. This rise comes from two stellar victories to open SEC play, including a 1-0 win against previously unbeaten No. 11 Texas. The Bulldogs also secured the No. 12 spot in the TopDrawerSoccer Poll and now rank tenth in the NCAA RPI.
