🔼 Dawg Defense. The numbers are painting a pretty picture for the Dawg defense as MSU is off to its first 3-0 start in seven years. Some of our favorite numbers that tell the story of this team’s hot start? MSU is giving up 125 yards per game fewer than they did to start last season, allowing only 12.3 points per game, and just four total touchdowns. It’s also the first time since 2018 that MSU has held its first three opponents to 20 or fewer points.

🔼 Posting A Shutout. No. 12 Mississippi State soccer posted the shutout against Texas last night! The Bulldogs got a goal from Ally Perry to get things started, then Laila Murillo tallied two more scores to secure the 3-0 victory.
Next up? The Bulldogs will battle Auburn in Starkville on September 21 at 6 p.m.

🔼 On The Podium. Two former Bulldogs finished on the podium at the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo. Anderson Peters and Curtis Thompson, both NCAA champions during their time at MSU, medaled in the javelin. Peters picked up the silver, while Thompson claimed bronze. Thompson became the first U.S. man to medal in the javelin at the World Championships since 2007.
Meanwhile, Navaksy Anderson and Marco Arop both punched their tickets to the 800m final, while Anderson set the new Jamaican 800m national record, finishing the race in 1:43.72. The final is set for 8:22 a.m. CT in Tokyo on Saturday.
Team Thunder. Team Lightning.
