Dear Ol’ State: Chatting With Pitching Coach Justin Parker. While there’ll be a lot of new faces in the Diamond Dawgs dugout come baseball season, a familiar one will be there, too, in the form of Justin Parker. The Mississippi State pitching coach joins Joel Coleman and Logan Lowery on Dear Ol’ State to talk about remaining a Bulldog, what he’s looking for out of his guys this fall and more.

🔼 Game 3. Mississippi State football is back inside Davis Wade Stadium tomorrow, hosting Alcorn State at 5 p.m. Saturday’s game will be the third between the Dawgs and the Braves, with Mississippi State winning both of the previous matchups.

🔼 SEC Start. Mississippi State soccer begins SEC play with a bang today, hosting top-ranked Tennessee at 6 p.m. on ESPNU. The Volunteers are 6-0-1 this season and are yet to allow a goal in seven matches.
🔼 Away From Home. Mississippi State volleyball takes its 7-0 record on the road this weekend, participating in the Southern Miss Tournament in Hattiesburg. The Bulldogs play Mercer tomorrow at noon before taking on Southern Miss on Sunday at 1 p.m.
🔼 Runnin’ Around. Mississippi State cross country is back on the course this weekend, running at the Southern Showcase in Huntsville, Ala., this morning at 8 a.m.
