🎥 HAIL STATE PLUS

Four Days In. The Dear Ol’ State podcast sits down to discuss how the first four days of preseason football camp has gone for the Bulldogs. Also, head coach Zach Arnett gives his post-practice press conference.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Another One to Watch. Our fearless leader on offense, Will Rogers, was named to the Davey O’Brien Award watchlist - an award given to the best quarterback in major college football. After finishing as a semifinalist for the award last season, Rogers enters his senior season with a laundry list of records and eye-popping stats that leave no doubt as to why he was nominated for the award in the first place.

The 35-man list will continue to be trimmed down until the list of three finalists are announced on November 21st.

🔼 Starting Off Strong. Bulldog soccer kicked off its preseason Monday night with a 3-0 exhibition win against Kennesaw State. The real action begins August 17th when State will square up against Grand Canyon in the first regular season game of the 2023 season.

🔼 All Good. The Women’s Professional Fastpitch league has ended its regular season, and former Bulldogs Chloe Malau’ulu and Fa Leilua now turn to the playoffs with the OKC Spark as the number two seed in the postseason.

🥎 Chloe Malau’ulu wrapped up her rookie regular season in the WPF with a bang after blasting a two-run home run to give the OKC Spark a win. Through her 35 game appearances, Malau’ulu batted .278 at the plate with 13 RBIs and four home runs.

🥎 Fa Leilua finished the season at the top of many of the statistical categories in the WPF after all was said and done. She ranked third in the league in RBIs (24), second in on-base percentage (.466) and OPS (1.070) and first in walks (29) and home runs (9). Oh, and did we mention she was named All-WPF last night? Well deserved indeed, just look at those stats!

🔼 Early Promo. The 2023 MLB Draftee and former Diamond Dawg Colton Ledbetter received his first promotion of his young pro career after being called up to the Charleston RiverDogs roster, a Tampa Bay Rays affiliate.

🔼 Soaking in the Summer. Corry’s Corner is back with its August edition as many of the Bulldog players and staff are spread across the country. Hear from Corry as she breaks down what has been happening around the Bulldog women’s basketball program over the past month.
