Dear Ol’ State: Blanton, Coleman and Coach Bump. A new week of preseason football camp has come at Mississippi State. Joel Coleman gets things started with a trio of Bulldog interviews. Hear from linebacker Stone Blanton, wide receiver Kevin Coleman and receivers coach Chad Bumphis.

🔼 Gaining Recognition. Bulldog football's Kelly Akharaiyi and Ethan Miner were named to the College Football Network preseason All-SEC team, both earning honorable mention honors. For both State players, this is their second preseason honor after being named to the Shrine Bowl 1,000 Watchlist. Both transfers in their first year in Starkville will look to prove themselves after a pair of impressive 2023 campaigns at UTEP (Akharaiyi) and North Texas (Miner).

🔼 That’s The Goal. As Anderson's last season on the pitch in Starkville nears, challenges like those she faced in 2022 and throughout her collegiate career have allowed her to gain a new perspective on life. As a captain for the Soccer Dawgs in 2023, Anderson broke a plethora of records including most minutes played on the pitch in a single season (2,092) and most shutouts in a single season (11) throughout the program's first NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen appearance.

🔼 Special Piece. Mississippi State receiver Kevin Coleman is a highly skilled athlete with great hands and blazing speed, but there's more to it than that. There's a different level of focus and maturity. He’s different, in all the right ways, and that's one of the main reasons he transferred to State earlier this year, to begin with. Pass catching? Running? Special teams? Doesn't matter to Coleman; he can do it all.
