🔼 Honoring A Legend. The Bulldog football season will begin without head coach Mike Leach for the first time in three seasons, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be on the minds of players, coaches, and fans when the team kicks off the season this Saturday.

Throughout State’s season opener, Coach Leach will be honored in a variety of ways - including a presentation with the entire Leach family at the conclusion of the first quarter of play. Paying tribute to such a legendary coach will be something the team, and the university, will remember for years to come.

🔼 Wheeling and Dealing. A quartet of former Diamond Dawgs are coming up clutch for their teams with the season’s end in sight. For some, each defensive stop and hard-hit ball could have playoff implications from here on out.

⚾️ J.P. France earned his 10th win on the mound for the Astros after a solid outing as his team continues to battle it out for first place in the AL West.

⚾️ Jordan Westburg flashed some leather at second base with this incredible defensive play to help his AL East leading Orioles keep the bases clear.

⚾️ Hunter Renfroe blasted his 19th home run of the season for the Angels to become the team’s second place leader in over-the-fencers this season.

⚾️ KC Hunt already secured his first title away from the Bulldogs after helping his ACL Brewers become 2023 Arizona Complex League champions!

🔼 Thursday Night Lights. Forget Friday night, tonight, StarkVegas is going to be bumping! The undefeated Bulldog soccer team will kickoff at 6:30 against FIU in what some are calling the ‘grooviest night of the season’. Then, catch the first Cowbell Yell of the season at 9:00 in preparation for Saturday’s football game against Southeastern Louisiana. Sounds like one heck of a night for Bulldog fans.

True Legend. Coach Leach changed the landscape of not just Mississippi State football, but the entirety of college football when he introduced his ‘Air Raid’ offense. He saw success with it everywhere he went, including his time in Starkville.
