📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Golden. From State to the world stage, Canadian Marco Arop captured the gold medal in the men’s 800m for his nation’s first World Championships win in the event. Arop battled from the back of the pack, and didn’t take hold of first place until the race’s final 200m to take home the win by a margin of 0.21 seconds.

🔼 Dawg Talk. The famous “Dawg Talk” radio show, featuring head coach Zach Arnett, is back! Beginning on August 31st, the show will air live from 6:30pm - 7:30pm with host Neil Price. The show will be available statewide during the season (click here to see how you can listen), and will be streamed live each Thursday on Facebook.

Want to see the full production in person? Head over to Walk-On’s in Starkville to meet with both the head coach and the Voice of the Bulldogs.

🔼 Another Won. Bulldog soccer kept the undefeated streak alive with another solid win against FIU - their third of the season. Ilana Izquierdo got the party started with a beautiful goal in the 29th minute of the game to put State up by one. She kept the party going in the second half after she netted her second goal of the game to eventually seal the deal for the Bulldogs.

🔼 Hello Regular Season. The football preseason is over, and it’s time for the Bulldogs’ first game week of the season as they prep for Southeastern Louisiana next Saturday afternoon. State’s last preseason practice of the year ended on a fitting note, with promising moments from both sides of the ball during the last scrimmage of the fall.

🔼 Strong Start. Bulldog volleyball got off to a hot start this weekend as the team tipped off the season in the StarkVegas Classic in front of the Maroon and White faithful.

🏐 The regular season opener went according to plan - with a win. The Bulldogs swept Eastern Kentucky in straight sets thanks in part to Alexa Fortin Goede and Emily Oerther’s 35 assists and led the Bulldogs to earn 44 kills.

🏐 Get this, the VolleyDawgs brought out the broomsticks again in game two! The team put on an offensive clinic with a .344 hitting percentage, and dominated each of the three sets.

🏐 In the last game of the weekend, the Bulldogs managed to pull off a reverse sweep of the Ragin’ Cajuns. After falling behind 2-0, State battled back, taking three straight sets, capped off by this game winner, to capture the match by two points.
