🔼 State Stories. Since Mississippi State announced the hiring of head coach Jeff Lebby, the work towards Saturdays at Davis Wade Stadium began. Each week provides another opportunity for Bulldog football to show out, and this offseason, the coaching staff and student-athletes on the gridiron have put in the work to give the Maroon and White faithful just that: a show. Check out Act I of STATE Stories featuring highlights from this summer.
🔼 Moving On Up. After posting eight wins this season in the Minor Leagues over 102 2/3 innings pitched, former Diamond Dawg JT Ginn received the call to the Majors to join the Oakland Athletics. Ginn becomes the 70th State baseball player to reach the Big Leagues and the second to be called up to make his MLB debut this season joining Justin Foscue, who made his debut with the Texas Rangers earlier this year. Ginn is scheduled to join the team in Oakland for the series against the Tampa Bay Rays where he will be the 17th Diamond Dawg to make an MLB debut since 2016.
🔼 The Legacy Grows. Just two matches into the 2024 season and goalkeeper Maddy Anderson has cemented herself among the SEC greats. Over her career with the Bulldogs, Anderson has worked her way into the conference’s record books with 27 career shutouts, good for tenth all-time. As the season goes on, there’s no question that Anderson will add to her total.
