🔼 Perseverance Pays Off. Bulldog offensive lineman Kameron Jones is entering his fourth season as the team’s starting right tackle, but what may have seemed like an easy journey took a lot of behind the scenes hard work. The 31 game starter spent the first two seasons as a Bulldog on the sidelines, not taking a single snap.

🗣️ “I just had to play my role, be a team player and learn, As a young guy, I had to pay my dues. That made me want to dig deep to get to where I’m at now.” - Kameron Jones

After putting in years of hard work in the weight room, studying film and and taking reps out on the practice field, Jones finally broke onto the field in his redshirt sophomore season. The offensive lineman has been a stalwart ever since.

🔼 New Additions. The Bulldog track and field squad is adding two more assistants to the team ahead of the upcoming season.

👟 Vanitta Kinnard joins the Bulldogs with 20+ years of experience in the coaching ranks and will assist the team in both sprints and jumps. Having coached at six different DI programs, Kinnard knows a thing or two what it means to achieve success.

👟 Trent Zelden, a recent State grad, fills the role of the NCAA’s newly approved sixth assistant on the team. Zelden will assist the throwers and multis after competing in the 2021-23 seasons as a collegiate thrower himself.

🔼 Dear Ol’ State. With Bulldog soccer kicking off later tonight against Grand Canyon, head coach James Armstrong dropped in to discuss how he’s feeling heading into the 2023 season and gives us an update on the squad.

🔼 Sunset On Summer. Summer League ball is all but wrapped up as the Diamond Dawgs return to campus for the start of offseason training. The Bulldogs saw success across seven different summer league teams with Hunter Hines finishing with a record 13 home runs in the Cape Cod League and David Mershon recording a stellar .307 batting average in 88 at-bats with the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
