📈 STOCK UP
🔼 Watch Out. Bulldog soccer kicks off the regular season tomorrow night in Phoenix, Arizona, and five of its players were named as players to watch in the SEC just before play is set to begin.
⚽️ Maddy Anderson: State’s keeper enters the season as the Bulldogs’ record-holder for career shutout victories with 13. Last season, she averaged just 0.64 goals allowed per game, good enough for second-best in the SEC.
⚽️ Macey Hodge: State’s captain and star midfielder, is coming off an All-SEC Second Team selection in 2022 and leads the team with 51 career matches played.
⚽️ Ilana Izquierdo: The transfer midfielder joins State for the first time this season after being named C-USA’s Freshman of the Year honors.
⚽️ Haley McWhirter: She heads into her second season with the team after a career-season that saw her score seven goals and make six assists as a midfielder.
⚽️ Maggie Wadsworth: After giving the Bulldogs eight goals last season (including four game-winners), the standout forward returns as last year’s top scorer.
Good news: if you can’t make it to the game in-person, the Bulldogs will play three times on national TV throughout the season! The team will be featured on the SEC Network twice this season against Kentucky and Vanderbilt, and will play on ESPNU once against Ole Miss.
🔼 All Eyes. Speaking of nationally televised games, Bulldog volleyball will get the opportunity to play five times on the SEC Network. They will play on the network twice in September, twice in October, and once in November.
🔼 Dear Ol’ State. A couple of days separated from Bulldog football’s first preseason scrimmage, head coach Zach Arnett gave his thoughts on how things went to the media. Our guys Joel Coleman and Logan Lowery break down his comments and discuss their own thoughts.
🔼 Two More. These two Bulldog football players are clearly players you need to be watching for with the season fast approaching.
🏈 Will Rogers was named to the watch list for the Manning Award after being a finalist for the same award last season. If you know much about football, you should be able to crack the code of what this award is for!
🏈 Nathaniel Watson was named to the Lombardi Award watch list for the best offensive or defensive lineman in the country. ‘The Anchor’ adds another preseason honor to the list as he prepares to lead the Bulldog defense very soon.
🔼 Lookin’ Great Like ‘98. The interlocking MSU is back folks! 25 years since the Bulldogs captured the SEC’s Western Division, the team is bringing back the same jerseys they wore during their successful run.
🗣️ “It’s like our mark in history. When you see that logo, you know what it means. It was one of the best times in Mississippi State history, and I got to be a part of it. I’m forever grateful.” - Pork Chop Womack, 1998 offensive lineman
The uniform will make its debut for the first time since the 1998 season when the Bulldogs host Kentucky for homecoming on November 4th.

🐶 DAWG DAILY
Today’s Dawg Daily: In this week’s crossover, Joel and Logan share their thoughts about State’s 1998 throwback uniform. The group also talks about young players that may have an impact for the Bulldogs this season.
🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER
Answers: vs. Ole Miss!
The Dawgs handled business by beating the in-state rival 28-6 in the final game of the season. State held the tiebreaker over the Razorbacks after defeating them earlier in the season, and was able to represent the SEC West in the conference’s title game.
Have a great Wednesday, y'all.
