Dear Ol’ State: First Scrimmage In The Books. Mississippi State football held its first scrimmage of the preseason on Sunday. On the latest episode of Dear Ol' State, Joel Coleman and Logan Lowery talk about it and bring you what head coach Jeff Lebby had to say about it.

🔼 Building A Bond. There are still over two weeks before State hits the field in a game that counts, and only then will State's linemen truly get to prove themselves. But right now, even with all the changeover in the room, the group has built a firm foundation for success. The results during fall camp have been eye-catching, and Coach Lebby has certainly noticed. Following State's first scrimmage of the preseason on Sunday, it was the offensive line that received perhaps Lebby's highest praise.

🔼 Media Session. If there was a lesson to be learned from Mississippi State's first football scrimmage on Sunday morning, it was to simply play the next play. Head coach Jeff Lebby took his team inside Davis Wade Stadium for the first time this fall and believes his Bulldogs did a brilliant job of locking in on their assignments and focusing on the next play in front of them.
