🔼 The Pitch To Paris. Two members of the Bulldog soccer team are headed to the 2024 Summer Olympics to compete for a gold medal. Ilana Izquierdo and Catalina Perez will represent their home country of Colombia in Paris later this month on their journey to win gold. Perez is making her second appearance in the Games while Izquierdo is suiting up for the Olympics for the first time.
🔼 Sights Set. With the 2024 volleyball season right around the corner, head coach Julie Darty Dennis announced the team’s schedule for the fall. The Bulldogs’ 50th campaign will feature 12 matches in front of the Maroon and White at Newell-Grissom. The Bulldog’s schedule features four different opponents who competed in the postseason during the 2023 season, including Arkansas, Florida, Missouri and the 2023 National Champion, Texas.
🔼 More Bulldog Olympians. Two more former Bulldog track and field athletes are headed to the Paris Olympics.
👟 Anderson Peters, a two-time World Champion in the javelin, will hunt for his first Olympic medal this summer representing his home country of Grenada.
👟 Lee Eppie is headed to Paris this summer as a member of Botswana’s world-leading 4×400 relay.
