๐Ÿ”ผ Bulldog Summer Ballers. Seven players with Mississippi State ties will be representing the Bulldogs in Las Vegas for the NBA 2K24 Summer League starting today. Letโ€™s take a look at some of the names all Bulldog fans should look out for.

๐Ÿ€ Garrison Brooks posted a double-double last season in the NBAโ€™s G League last season and is looking for a spot on an NBA roster after putting up over 1,600 points and nabbing over 1,000 rebounds at both MSU and UNC.

๐Ÿ€ Iverson Molinar is looking for his shot after putting up 10.5 points per game in the G League last season. He scored back-to-back 500 point seasons with the Bulldogs from 2020-22.

๐Ÿ€ Reggie Perry has seen success at the NBA level after appearing in 36 NBA games in his career thus far. Last season in the G League, he averaged 20.7 points and nearly seven rebounds for a pair of teams. The former SEC Co-Player of the Year is simply looking for his next shot.

๐Ÿ€ DJ Stewart had himself a solid season in the G League with 21 points and over one steal per game. The 2020-21 All-SEC Second Team selection is hoping to shine on a big stage this weekend.

๐Ÿ€ Craig Sword made his NBA debut in 2020 with the Wizards and has been balling out in the G League for what heโ€™s hoping will be another chance.

๐Ÿ€ Quinndary Weatherspoon was an All-SEC selection in each of the four seasons he played in Starkville, and is looking to make an NBA roster after capturing an NBA title with the Warriors in 2022.

๐Ÿ€ Robert Woodard II had a solid G League season after averaging 12.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists for the OKC Thunder affiliate. After getting a taste of the NBA for 25 games, Woodard is hoping to prove he deserves another chance.

๐Ÿ”ผ From Balkan to Bulldog. State menโ€™s tennis has found itself its newest star player in Radomir Tomic. The incoming freshman from Bosnia and Herzegovina joins an already loaded incoming class as its fourth member of next seasonโ€™s inbound talent.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ โ€œRadomir showed a lot of toughness and grit in his past few months competing in matches. We are really pumped to have [him] joining us and working with us starting in August.โ€ - Coach Matt Roberts

At just 19-years old, Tomic is currently ranked as No. 1191 in the world and has made a pair of quarterfinal appearances at ITF 15K tournaments this year.

๐ŸŽ‰ TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: Quinndary Weatherspoon!

Weatherspoon finished his career at State with over 2,000 points scored, and is just one of three players to achieve that milestone. He also finished in the programโ€™s top ten in steals (201), field goals made (704), free throws made (413), and three-pointers made (187).

Have a great weekend, y'all.
