📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Points In Portugal. Bulldog men’s basketball has shown up in Portugal and proved that they have the makings of something special.

In the first game against the Lisbon All-Stars, State put up 76 points and won the game by 26 points. Game two was a different story for all the right reasons. Yesterday’s game saw four Bulldogs finish in the double digits as the team put up 100. The 60-point victory was achieved thanks to 18 made three pointers and 23 assists on 36 baskets.

🔼 More Success. 2023’s European Ladies’ Amateur Champion has been crowned, and it’s no surprise that it’s the SEC Golfer of the Year, Julia Lopez Ramirez. The Spaniard birdied her last three holes to win by two shots en route to the championship.

🔼 Title-Worthy Showing. The Bulldogs’ own Hunter Logan captured the title in the 94th Southeastern Amateur on Saturday. Logan ended things in style on the last hole of the tournament by chipping in to secure the win.

Other State golfers, Harrison Davis and Bo Blanchard, competed alongside Logan and finished seventh and eleventh respectively to complete a trio of Bulldogs with a top-15 finish.

🔼 Canadian Champ. Former Bulldog track and field star, Marco Arop, was out and shining on this weekend. On Saturday, Arop successfully defended his 800-meter title with a win in the Athletics Canada National Championship with a time of 1:44.64. Plus, is there a cooler way to cross the finish line than this?

🔼 FB HOF. The Greenwood Hall of Fame just grew a bit bigger. State great Rod Gibson was inducted into the club earlier this weekend, but as they say, once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog.
