🔼 The Standard. For the 13th time in the last 14 years, Bulldog women's tennis was selected as one of the ITA's All-Academic Teams. Chris Hooshyar's team posted a 3.70 overall grade point average for the year garnering a 3.74 GPA during the fall semester and followed up with a 3.67 in the spring.
In addition to MSU being named as one of the ITA's All-Academic Teams, six Bulldogs were also selected as ITA Scholar Athletes. Alessia Tagliente, Alexandra Mikhailuk, Athina Pitta, Ava Rath, Chloé Cirotte and Maria Rizzolo were all honored for their dedication in the classroom.
🔼 More Than Dawgs. State's D.A.W.G. Program has been an undisputed huge early victory in the Lebby era at MSU. Greg Knox, Jason Washington and Gerri Green – a pair of former State assistant coaches and a former Bulldog player respectively – have quickly taken Lebby's vision and given legs to the dream. In addition to events that focus on career and professional development, the D.A.W.G. Program also hones in on the development of guys' life skills as well as putting them in positions to serve others and connect with former Bulldog players.
🔼 Dream Team. Former Bulldogs Marco Arop, Navasky Anderson and Lee Eppie are competing for their respective countries in the Paris Olympics, but the grind to get there started with the trio in Starkville under the leadership of head coach Chris Woods.
🗣️ "When I realized those two guys were like two of the top guys in the world rankings, I was watching how they were able to dominate in the SEC, the NCAA. I was able to see how Coach Woods and the team at Mississippi State University were able to develop them and not just maintain them, and then I decided that I wanted to be a part of that program." - Navasky Andreson
