🔼 Bulldog Burney. MSU softball has brought in another Mississippi native to represent her home state. The Bulldogs welcomed Jadyn Burney to the program over the weekend.

Burney joins the team from Chipola College where she spent two seasons and racked up a career batting average of .320 and stole 41 bases. The Gulfport native was named to a Panhandle Conference All-Defensive Team and started in all but six games in her two-year stint in Florida.

🗣️ “It’s always been a dream of mine for me to represent my State. Having Mississippi State across my chest means the world to me…and is a huge accomplishment for me and my family.” - Jadyn Burney

🔼 Addition and Promotion. Over the weekend, the Bulldogs were hard at work constructing coaching staffs in preparation for next year’s athletic calendar. Three programs made a combination of addition and promotions, and if you ask us, the future is looking bright.

🥎 A former WCWS MVP is joining the Bulldog softball program. Taryne Mowatt-McKinney is coming on as the pitching coach to assist our talented roster of players in the circle.

⚽️ After spending two seasons as a volunteer assistant coach, Kat Stratton is moving on up to be a full-time assistant coach for Bulldog soccer. After seeing growth in the goal-tending department under her tutelage, coach James Armstrong made the move official

🏐 From student-athlete to assistant coach, Alleah Stamatis has made her way onto the coaching staff of Bulldog volleyball. She completed her time as a player in 2019 with State, moved to Director of Operations for the past two seasons, and will now be coaching for her alma-mater.
