Bulldog Brew 7/22: Living In The Clouds
Today, Nuno Borges is living out his dream on the world stage.
Good morning! Who caught Mississippi State alum Jordan Westburg in the MLB All-Star Game last week?
What else did we throw into today’s Bulldog Brew?
🎾 In the clouds
🏈 Big is nothing new
🐶 And much, much more!

🔼 Final Boss. Five-time All-American Nuno Borges picked up his first ATP 250 Tour Championship this weekend, and did so in quite possibly the best way — beating tennis legend Rafael Nadal in straight sets at the Nordea Open!
“I never thought I would be here playing in a full stadium against ‘Rafa’ on clay,” Borges said. “It is a dream come true. Right now, I’m living in the clouds.”
🔼 Hold On Tight. Bulldog offensive lineman Albert Reese IV climbed up on the mechanical bull at SEC Media Days last week to give it a go. The one problem — the 6-foot-7 Reese’s head was hitting the ceiling of the ballroom the bull was residing in.
Big is nothing new for Reese. He’s a big man with big dreams and a big role on this year’s Mississippi State football team.
🔼 Settled On Silver. Mia Davidson-Smith and the United States Women’s National Team’s dominant run at the WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup came to an end in the championship game on Saturday, falling 6-1 to Japan.
The United States lost just once in the tournament, and had allowed just two runs total prior to its matchup with Japan in the final. Davidson-Smith appeared in two games for the Americans.
