🔼Leading The Way. Mississippi State's Cameron Matthews (men's basketball), Debreasha Powe (women's basketball), Chris Parson (football), Stone Simmons (SAAC, baseball) and Gracie Gibson (SAAC, women's track and field/cross country) will participate in the SEC Student-Athlete Leadership Council meetings this week in Dallas, Texas. The SEC Student-Athlete Leadership Council allows its student-athletes to engage with campus leaders and conference office staff.

🔼Leading The Pack. Mississippi State quarterback Blake Shapen made his highest-profile appearance since transferring to the Bulldogs from Baylor. During SEC Media Days, he bounced from room to room in complete control, facing hundreds of questions head-on without batting an eye. Not to be lost in Shapen's drive to lead is his ability to perform, he has already thrown for 36 touchdowns and more than 5,000 yards in his collegiate career, has earned All-Big 12 honors as a signal caller and won a conference title in 2021.

🔼Putting The Student In Athlete. Following a successful year in the classroom, Mississippi State volleyball was named a recipient of the AVCA Team Academic Award. The Bulldogs saw 15 student-athletes above a 3.3 grade point average, and State is one of 11 SEC programs to be recognized.
