🔼Drafted Dawgs. On the final day of the MLB Draft, five more Diamond Dawgs were selected. Over the three days of the league’s draft, the Bulldogs saw 11 players get selected, the most of any program this year and tied for the most picks in program history.

The first Diamond Dawg off the board on the final day was Tyson Hardin in the 12th round when the Milwaukee Brewers selected him. In the next round, the Tampa Bay Rays drafted Connor Hujsak. Tyler Davis was the third State player off the board on the day when he went to the Kansas City Royals in the 15th round. David Mershon was an 18th-round draft pick by the Los Angeles Angels, while Cam Schuelke was a 19th-round pick by the Cleveland Guardians.

🔼Ready To Go. Bulldog head football coach Jeff Lebby, along with student-athletes Blake Shapen, John Lewis and Albert Reese IV will take their turn in Dallas at SEC Media Days presented by Regions starting today. The new head ball coach will be behind the main podium at 10:35 a.m. CT to deliver remarks about his team and take questions from onsite reporters. Lebby is then scheduled to be a guest on the SEC Network Set at 11:45 a.m.

🔼Big Time Event. Amidst a tough field of competition, Bulldog men’s golfer Garrett Endicott will compete in the 2024 U.S. Amateur. The incoming junior will compete against some of the nation’s best amateur golfers for a chance at playing in some of the top events on the PGA Tour.

🔼Summer’s End. Bulldog softball’s Kiarra Sells and Kylee Edwards have concluded their seasons with their respective summer collegiate league teams — each having made deep playoff runs.

🥎Sells played for the Texas Ninebands in the Lonestar State Collegiate League where she was named an All-Star, and her team reached the league championship where they finished as runners-up. She crushed a LSCL-leading 15 homers and drove in 42 runs, which was second in her league.

🥎 In the Florida Gulf Coast League, Edwards' Bradenton Slice reached the semifinals, but lost to the eventual champions. She finished third on the team in home runs (4) and doubles (5) while 50% of her hits went for extra bases.
