🕊️ Remembering Legends
🐶 And much, much more!

🎥 HAIL STATE PLUS

Major Comeback. On this episode of Dear Ol State, courtesy of HailState+, listen in with former Bulldog Todd Doolittle and how injuries sustained playing professional baseball helped him turn his focus into his current career of helping others.

With HailState+ you get to watch wherever you want to watch. Web, mobile, and (later this year) all major OTT streaming apps like AppleTV, Amazon FireTV, Roku, and Android. We got it all.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 New Dawn, New Ray. Tampa Bay, you got a good one.

Colton Ledbetter was officially drafted into the MLB with the 55th overall pick in last night’s MLB Draft. He will join the Rays organization to start grinding his way to become one of their outfielders of the future.

Diamond Dawg fans, it’s time to get your #RaysUp as we send off another player to the Show.

🔼 Above and Beyond. Many Bulldogs (current and former) are headed to the national stages of competition to compete in the USATF Championships to try and take home some more hardware.

💪 Curtis Thompson (former NCAA Javelin National Champion) won the whole dang thing with a season best throw of 80.92 meters for his third title.

👟 Mallory Streetman came up with a sixth place finish in the USATF U20 Championships in the 800-meter race with a time of 2:14.78.

💨 Rosealee Cooper qualified for the finals in the 100-meter hurdles in the Jamaican National Championships after racing to a 13.37 second time.

🏈 Johnnie Cooks had a legendary career at State as a gridiron guardian. He was a three-time All-SEC linebacker who ended his career with the fourth most sacks in school history (24) and fifth in total tackles (392). The man who wore No. 99 has a spot in MSU’s M-Club Hall of Fame and is a part of the Bulldogs’ Ring of Honor.

🏀 Nikkie McCray-Penson was committed to her players and MSU during her tenure as the women’s basketball head coach, even while she endured her health challenges. She will be remembered as one of the best women’s players to ever step on the court after winning two Olympic Golf Medals, earning three All-Star appearances in the WNBA, and being inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012.

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: Nine!

Some of the most recent Mississippi State first rounders include Landon Sims, Will Bednar, and Justin Foscue. The first round of the draft is a sacred place in history, and Bulldog baseball is proud to represent a select few from the last few years.

Have a great Monday, y'all.
