D.D. Lewis, who wore No. 53 at Mississippi State from 1965-67, was twice a First Team All-SEC member, a First Team All-American in 1967 and the SEC Defensive Player of the Year in his senior season. Lewis was inducted into the National Football Foundation College Hall of Fame in 2001.
