๐Ÿ“ˆ STOCK UP

๐Ÿ”ผ  Day One Done. The Bulldogs were busy during day one at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Peyton Bair, competing in the Decathlon, set the tone early by setting the new meet record in the 100m with a time of 10.31. Bair finished day one in second place with 4,528 points. The menโ€™s 4ร—100m relay team secured Second Team All-American after finishing 14th in the nation with a time of 39.37.

Capping off the day were throwers Roury McCloyen and Remi Rougetet. McCloyen finished 11th in the shot put, ranking the highest of any freshman in the nation, en route to a Second Team All-American selection. Rougetet capped his showing with a sixth-place finish, earning First Team All-American for the second year in a row.

๐Ÿ”ผ  Welcome Home. After bringing in Dusan Milanovic a year ago through the transfer portal, the Bulldogs hope to have similar success with the signing of Mario Martinez Serrano, a multi-year first team all-conference performer. The rising junior from Zaragoza, Spain compiled a 43-5 dual-match singles record during his career with the Trojans while playing all but one match at the No. 1 position. Martinez Serrano led the Sun Belt with a 23-2 record in singles and a 20-5 mark in doubles as a sophomore this past season.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ โ€œMario is going to fit and enhance our culture immediately on and off the court. We are incredibly excited to have him join our Bulldog family and attack our goals together." - Jake Jacoby, assistant coach

๐Ÿ”ผ  All Class. After earning a spot on the Charlottesville Regional All-Tournament Team, outfielder Bryce Chance was named to the 2024 Academic All-District Team by CSC. Since enrolling at Mississippi State, Chance has been named a Dean's Scholar twice and been named to the President's Scholar list once. On the field, Chance has been a reliable bat in the Bulldog lineup, collecting 62 hits, 36 RBI, 36 runs, and 11 doubles.
