📈 STOCK UP

🔼  State to the Show. Four former Bulldog softball players began their professional seasons last week, with three making their pro debuts.

🥎 Madisyn Kennedy and Chloe Malau'ulu went head-to-head in pool play on Thursday night. While the Vibe got out to an early 6-0 lead, the Spark rallied back for an 8-6 victory. Kennedy collected her first pro hit in the game, reaching base three times with a walk and two singles.

🥎 In WPF action, Brylie St. Clair and Aspen Wesley made their professional debuts as teammates with the Texas Monarchs. St. Clair singled on Opening Day for her first professional hit, and Wesley debuted the following day, tossing 4.0 shutout innings while allowing just two hits and recording her first strikeout.

🔼  Summer Ball. A total of 14 Diamond Dawgs will spread out around the East Coast as they compete in six different summer leagues, including Gavin Black and Karson Ligon playing in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League. The remaining 12 players will scatter among five different leagues as they head to the Coastal Plain, New England Collegiate, Perfect Game Collegiate, Prospect and the Valley.

🔼  Step Up. After serving as an assistant coach and being an integral force in Mississippi State's success in men's tennis for the past five seasons, Jake Jacoby has been promoted to associate head coach. Jacoby joined Matt Roberts' staff in 2020 and has helped guide the Bulldogs to the postseason each full year, including three trips to the Sweet 16 and back-to-back NCAA Regional hosts.

🗣️ "Jake has worked tirelessly over the past five years to improve our tennis program. Jake is not only an outstanding tennis coach but is also a relentless recruiter and responsible for bringing in some of our best players over the past few years.” - Matt Roberts, head coach
