📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Work It Out. The third annual MLB Draft Combine started yesterday, and two of its participants will be representing the Maroon and White. Colton Ledbetter and Cade Smith will have their chance to show major league teams and staff what they got. The top 300 prospects determined by the MLB are invited to the combine, and both Smith and Ledbetter are determined to show them why they belong.

💪 Cade Smith pitched 43 innings for the Bulldogs this past season and tallied 46 strikeouts. He allowed just a .230 batting average to his opponents as the consistent Friday night starter for the Maroon and White.

🦇 Colton Ledbetter had one of the most consistent bats on the team last season with a .320 batting average; the best mark on the team. Following the season, he was named to the ABCA/Rawlings South All-Region Second Team.

🔼 Rewind The Tapes. In her first season repping the Maroon and White, Ramani Parker was a spark off the Bulldog bench, scoring in every game she played, and finished as one of the best three-point shooters, even while standing at 6-foot-4.

🏀 Parker shot 39% from three-point land last season, 4th among her teammates.

🏀 She ranked 4th on the team in blocked shots with 15 in 22 games played.

🏀 She shot .448 from the field, good enough for 4th on the team.

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: 163!

In the past eight seasons, Bulldog softball has accumulated 163 wins and just 68 losses. For those wondering, that’s over 20 wins per season at home alone. Nusz Park has been good to the Bulldogs and all of Starkville.

Have a great Wednesday, y'all.
