🔼 Preseason Praise. Phil Steele has released his Preseason All-SEC teams, and Isaac Smith and Davon Booth both earned nods!

🔼 Top Dawg. After winning a national championship earlier this month in the decathlon, Mississippi State track and field’s Peyton Bair has been named the USTFCCCA South Region Field Athlete of the Year.

🔼 Bulldog Backstop. Mississippi State softball has signed transfer catcher Des Rivera, who led the Big Ten last season with 15 runners caught stealing for the Iowa Hawkeyes. In addition to her defensive work behind the plate, she hit .290, which ranked fifth on the team and was third on the squad in doubles (9), hits (40) and total bases (55).

🔼 Dual Impact. We have 68 days until Mississippi State football’s season opener at Southern Miss on August 30!

Ladarius Perkins dominated on the ground for the Bulldogs from 2010-13, rushing for 2,554 yards and 15 touchdowns on 530 carries. But did you know he also caught 68 passes for 714 yards and another 10 touchdowns?

🤔 BULLDOG TRIVIA

Double Dip. Peyton Bair won the NCAA title in both the heptathlon and decathlon this year. How many other men in history have won both in the same year?
