🔼  All American Dawg. Bulldog softball’s Madisyn Kennedy was named a Second Team All-American by D1Softball. Kennedy is the 10th player in program history to earn All-America recognition, and her selection marks the 27th honor for the Bulldogs. The First Team All-SEC slugger had a career year in 2024, launching 17 homers while slugging .792 and driving in 56 runs. All three of those marks were among the top-10 single-season totals in school history.

🔼  Getting Ready To Go. Instead of hosting one of the postseason’s regional groups, the Diamond Dawgs learned on Monday that they will be the No. 2 seed in the Charlottesville Regional hosted by the University of Virginia. The Dawgs will join a tough field that includes the top-seeded Cavaliers, as well as No. 3 seed St. John's and fourth-seeded Pennsylvania.

🗣️ "I think [the SEC Tournament] proved we can play with anyone in the country. I think we're a top team. I think our resume shows that." - Connor Hujsak

🔼  Softball Smarts. Bulldog softball saw Madisyn Kennedy, Riley Hull, Josey Marron and Jessie Blaine named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team. Hull and Kennedy were also named to the all-district team last year. Additionally, Kennedy was named a finalist for the Academic All-America team and will move on to a national ballot. Student-athletes must post a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 and have played 90 percent of a team's games or started in 66 percent to be eligible for all-district honors.

🔼  Dear Ol’ State. Mississippi State baseball is officially back in the NCAA Tournament. On the latest episode of Dear Ol' State, Joel Coleman and Logan Lowery celebrate that fact, look ahead at the Charlottesville Regional and bring you head coach Chris Lemonis' thoughts on the Bulldogs' draw.
