🎥 THE DUDES

The Dudes: Grand Purpose (S.1 E.4). In this episode, we follow Burke Masters from his iconic grand slam to send the Bulldogs to Omaha to his unexpected path as a Catholic priest and now as the Chicago Cubs' team Chaplain. Reflecting on his college years, Masters shares how baseball instilled in him values that still resonate today. Integrating his love for the game with his spiritual calling, he finds fulfillment in guiding players both on and off the field. Through his story, we witness the seamless blending of sportsmanship, faith, and the unwavering belief in God's plan that defines Masters' remarkable journey.

All-Access: The London Tour. Spring break was unforgettable for our bulldog soccer club as they traveled to London to play a few games in the sport's homeland. Hear about the highlights as Macey Hodges, Maddie Anderson, and James Armstrong tell us about their trip across the pond.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Best of the Best. Three Bulldog women’s golfers received SEC accolades as the team heads into the NCAA Tournament including Julia Lopez Ramirez who was named the SEC Player of the Year for the second year in a row. On top of being named the SEC’s best, Lopez Ramirez was also a First-Team All-SEC selection. Avery Weed was selected to the Freshman All-SEC team, while Ana Pina Ortega was voted to the SEC Community Service Team. The trio of golfers, along with the rest of the team, will return to the course on May 6 for the start of the NCAA Bermuda Run Regional.

🔼 It’s Coming Home. The Diamond Dawgs fell behind early against Ole Miss but rallied behind a four-run eighth inning to win and take the Governor’s Cup, 5-1. David Mershon finished the night with two RBI while Dakota Jordan boosted the offense with his three hits. Starter Pico Kohn put in four innings of work and allowed just one run while punching out five batters. State will now head back to Starkville to get ready to host Alabama for a three-game series this weekend.

🔼 End Game. No matter how Bulldog men’s tennis does as a team during the upcoming NCAA Championships, three Bulldogs will advance to the final site in Stillwater, Oklahoma later this month. Petar Jovanovic, Nemanja Malesevic and Benito Sanchez Martinez will begin the hunt for individual titles. No. 49 Jovanovic and No. 53 Malesevic will compete in the singles bracket while the nation's 12th -ranked tandem of Jovanovic and Sanchez Martinez will compete at the doubles championship.

🔼 Going Dancing. State men’s golf will continue to play this year in the postseason after being selected to compete in the NCAA Championship. It is the sixth straight appearance for the Bulldogs in the NCAA Tournament. The Bulldogs will head to West Lafayette, Indiana, for the regional round of the tournament as a No. 7 seed.
