Bulldog Brew 5/8: Double The Impact
Noah Sullivan has been named the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Week!

Good morning, Bulldogs! Howard Industries, a leading manufacturer of electrical and technology products, has provided the lead naming gift for Mississippi State University's new football indoor practice facility.
What else do we have brewing today?
⛳️ NCAA Championships bound
⚾️ Double the impact
🐶 And much, much more!

In this very space a few weeks ago, we discussed the dynamics of a baseball season. We talked about a campaign’s peaks and valleys. We mentioned how the grinding schedule is a marathon and not a sprint. The hope is that when you get to the stretch run of the season with the finish line in sight, you’re still in the race.
Well folks, despite all of this spring’s ups and downs, Mississippi State is right there. And with the Bulldogs set to host rival Ole Miss at Dudy Noble Field this weekend, MSU’s postseason dreams remain solidly within reach.
It’s been a challenging period for the Diamond Dawgs and the group has responded by showing exactly what they’re made of. Headed into the series with the Rebels, State has won four in a row.
They’ve displayed a resilience that has everyone – both inside the locker room and out – believing big things could happen the rest of this month and maybe, just maybe, into June.
“This is what life is going to be like for the rest of their lives,” interim head coach Justin Parker said last week. “There’s going to be tired days when you’re going to be beat up. You’re going to hate your job or love your job and whatever it is, you’re going to have to show up. That’s what it’s about – getting back to work and getting refocused and recommitted.
“Our mission is still ahead of us, and we have full control of our destiny.”
There’s no question MSU was in a hole through the first seven Southeastern Conference weekends. However, sweeping Kentucky last weekend has put most everything back on the table for MSU.
D1Baseball and Baseball America both currently have State in the field in their latest NCAA Tournament projections. Those predictions are a testament to a team that just hasn’t given up.
The Bulldogs’ grit has rolled out the red carpet for what is poised to be perhaps the most raucous, electric crowds The Dude has seen all season this weekend. Make sure you are a part of it all. The series begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, then continues at 2 p.m. on Saturday ahead of Sunday’s 1 p.m. finale.
Pack Dudy Noble and help push the Diamond Dawgs one step closer to the postseason.
“The biggest factor is to just lock it in that much more,” MSU pitcher and designated hitter Noah Sullivan said. “We’re right where we want to be, and we have everything to play for.”

🔼 Back-To-Back-To-Back-To-Back. Mississippi State women’s golf is headed back to the NCAA Championships for the fourth year in a row after finishing in fourth place at the NCAA Gold Canyon Regional on Wednesday. The Bulldogs shot 2-over in the final round of the Gold Canyon Regional and had four golfers inside the top 20 for only the third time all season.

🔼 Double The Impact. Diamond Dawg Noah Sullivan has been named the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Week for his work both on the mound and at the plate. Sullivan made a midweek start for the Bulldogs, tossing three shutout innings against Memphis and also hit .333 with a .529 on-base percentage last week.
