The first-ever ranked matchup between No. 18 Mississippi State softball and No. 17 Ole Miss lived up to the billing on Thursday night, with Jessie Blaine hitting a two-run walk-off home run for the Bulldogs to beat the Rebels, 3-1. Raelin Chaffin earned her 21st win in the circle, striking out five and allowing just six hits in seven innings.

🔼 Win Or Go Home. Mississippi State men’s tennis begins its NCAA Tournament run today, taking on New Orleans at 1 p.m. in Starkville. The Privateers earned an automatic bid into the tournament by winning the Southland Conference Tournament. The winner of today’s match will advance to play the winner of No. 2 seed Michigan State and No. 3 seed North Alabama on Saturday.

🔼 Broken Record. Mississippi State track and field began competition at the Maroon and White Tune Up on Thursday, with results highlighted by Caleb Kaplan breaking the freshman record in the hammer throw with a personal best of 59.87m.

🔼 ‘Cats and Dawgs. Mississippi State baseball Is back home this weekend, hosting Kentucky as part of Super Bulldog Weekend. The Wildcats are 25-17 overall this season and 10-11 in SEC play.
