🔼 Game 1 Won! No. 18 Mississippi State softball earned a 1-0 win over Ole Miss on Thursday in the opening game of its three-game series behind a masterful performance from Alyssa Faircloth!

Faircloth allowed just two baserunners on an infield single down the first base line and a hit batter. She struck out 14 on the night but was extremely impressive early on. In her first four innings, she retired all 12 batters she faced on just 40 pitches while racking up seven punchouts.

🔼 Tournament Time! The NCAA Tournament has arrived for fifth-overall seed Mississippi State men’s tennis, with the Bulldogs hosting NCAA First and Second Round action at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre this weekend!

Mississippi State takes on fourth-seeded Tennessee Tech today at 1 p.m., with the winner advancing to the NCAA Second Round tomorrow at 1 p.m.

🔼 Top-10 Teams! No. 10 Mississippi State baseball hits the road this weekend for a top-10 showdown, traveling to Austin, Texas for a three-game SEC series at No. 4 Texas!

The Diamond Dawgs and Longhorns are next-door neighbors in the SEC standings, with Mississippi State in fourth place at 11-8 in league play and Texas sitting just ahead at 11-6.

Four Mississippi State student-athletes have received recognition from the Southeastern Conference for their outstanding work either in the classroom or community — congratulations to men’s tennis’ Petar Jovanovic, track and field’s Rickyla Fagan, football’s Jacoby Jackson and women’s golf’s Izzy Pellot!
