Dear Ol’ State: Lebby Gives State Spring Update. Joel Coleman and Logan Lowery's eyes are back on the gridiron on the latest episode of Dear Ol' State. The guys discuss a little spring football, then bring you the latest update from head coach Jeff Lebby.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Got It Done. In an eventful weekend, the Diamond Dawgs earned the series victory over Georgia on Sunday with a 9-8 win at The Dude. The Bulldogs fought back from a five-run deficit and capped off the comeback with two runs in the eighth inning thanks to Conor Hujsak and Bryce Chance. Improving to 21-12 on the season, State will head back to the diamond for a midweek matchup against UAB on Tuesday.

🔼 Zeroed In. Thanks to back-to-back shutouts from the Bulldog pitching staff, State secured the series win over No. 22 South Carolina. Josey Marron tossed her third-complete game shutout in the 6-0 series-opening win for the Dawgs, and on Saturday, Aspen Wesley pitched a two-hit complete game shutout to help State to a 4-0 win. The Bulldogs closed the weekend out with a 28-10 record and improved to 8-7 in the SEC.

🔼 Highlights From Bama. State track and field showed out and set some records in the team’s showing at the Crimson Tide Invitational. Sophomore Rickea Atkins set a personal record in the discus throw on the first day of competition with a throw of 36.75m, and Emma Hunt placed second in the javelin with a distance of 50.00m (164-0.0) on her final attempt while Remi Rougetet improved his previous best throw by two feet.

🔼 Traveling Well. Bulldog men’s tennis continues to thrive on the road after earning the fourth consecutive ranked road win, 4-2, against No. 32 Auburn. The match started with State securing the doubles point and was followed by singles victories from Nemanja Malesevic, Petar Jovanovic and Benito Sanchez Martinez. The Bulldogs now have nine wins over ranked opponents this season and enter their final match of the regular season at No. 41 Arkansas next Sunday at 1 p.m. tied for third in the SEC standings.

🔼 Strong Finish. The Bulldog men's golf team rebounded on the final day of the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational with its best round of the tournament on Sunday, shooting a combined 4-under 284. The score allowed State to jump two spots into a tie for 10th and continue its run of top-10 finishes in every tournament of the season. Hunter Logan had the strongest contribution to the Bulldogs' team score, shooting 3-under-par while Harrison Davis finished with a 5-under-par 67 to close out his tournament.

Dream Come True. Mississippi State baseball has a history of helping its players reach the pinnacle of the sport. Over the weekend, another former Bulldog made his major league debut.
