🔼 All The Milestones. It was all Dawgs as State softball put up 14 runs through three innings against UAB to earn the 13th run-rule victory of the season. The game of milestones featured a single-season record-tying run-rule win, the 300th career strikeout for pitcher Aspen Wesley and a Madisyn Kennedy home run that moved her up to fourth all-time on the Mississippi State all-time list.

🔼 Hot Streak. For the second week in a row, a member of the State men’s tennis team has been selected as the SEC Player of the Week. Last week, it was Petar Jovanovic, and this week, Carles Hernandez earned the title after helping the Bulldogs to the third and fourth consecutive ranked wins. Hernandez went 4-0 in singles and doubles play last weekend, including his 10th career ranked victory in singles play over Alabama.
🔼 Joining The Ranks. The Gamma of Mississippi Chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa Society proudly announced the induction of Aitana Martinez-Montoya into their esteemed ranks. This recognition emphasized Martinez-Montoya's exceptional commitment to academic excellence and leadership both on and off the field. During her junior year, Martinez-Montoya made an immediate impact by scoring in her first game as a Bulldog at Grand Canyon, and most notably, scored the equalizer against Alabama in the SEC Tournament Quarterfinals. Martinez-Montoya ended the season leading the team in goals (6) and amassed 13 points while logging 1,405 minutes of play.

Always Getting Better. The best know how to keep improving even when they have reached peak success. One particular Bulldog track and field pole vaulter did just that by improving on her own school record last weekend.
