Good morning! Bulldog men’s tennis is hard at work preparing for the NCAA Tournament after the team’s appearance in the conference tournament.

🎥 THE DUDES

The Dudes: Ring Of Honor (S.1 E.3). The Ron Polk Ring of Honor recognizes the very best to come through the Mississippi State baseball program. This year, former pitcher Bobby Reed and current radio announcer Jim Ellis were inducted for their achievements and had their names enshrined at Dudy Noble Field. Hear from both Jim and Bobby as they reminisce on their careers and reflect on what this honor means to them.

🎥 BEYOND THE ARC

Beyond The Arc: Thank You Seniors (S.1 E.10). Take a look back to Bulldog men’s basketball’s Senior Day where the team honored Cameron Matthews, Shakeel Moore, Dashawn Davis, Isaac Stansbury, and Jimmy Bell Jr. Watch as they reminisce on their time in Starkville and talk about what it meant to be a Bulldog.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Through Day One. Bulldog men’s golf began postseason action at the SEC Championship and opened up at 8-over par. Graduate student Hunter Logan led the way for State, putting in the only under-par round of the day for the Bulldogs at 2-under to sit in a tie for eighth. Alejandro Fierro had a solid day at 1-over par, and Garrett Endicott rounded out the top three Bulldogs with a 4-over par round. State will look to climb the leaderboard on day two of the tournament.

🔼 Midweek Matchup. Bulldog softball fought hard to the finish but fell short in a 3-2 loss to Samford on the road to close out nonconference play. Jessie Blaine drove in both of State’s runs to lead the team in RBI, and Lexi Sosa drew the start in the circle, going four innings and striking out two. The Bulldogs will now gear up for its annual Saturday-Monday series in SEC play as the team faces off against Missouri.

🔼 The Road Continues. Following both an individual and team title at the SEC Championship, Bulldog women’s golf will compete in the 2024 NCAA Tournament. State will start at the Bermuda Run Regional Site in North Carolina as the No. 4 seed. The Bulldogs make their fourth appearance in the NCAA Tournament under head coach Charlie Ewing, who has guided the team to postseason play in all four years he has been at the helm. State will compete against 11 other teams, including conference champions Wake Forest and Texas and familiar foes such as Tennessee and in-state rival Ole Miss.
