Good morning! They say history repeats itself, and that’s exactly what happened this weekend at the SEC Championship. For the second time in two seasons, State women’s golfer Julia Lopez Ramirez won the individual title.

All-Access: First Responders Home Run Derby. Following the Bulldog's exciting win in softball against Florida, The Starkville Police and Fire departments went up against each other in their annual home-run derby.

🎥 THE DUDES

The Dudes: Ring of Honor (S.1 E.3). The Ron Polk Ring of Honor recognizes the very best to come through the Mississippi State baseball program. This year, former pitcher Bobby Reed and current radio announcer Jim Ellis were inducted for their achievements and had their names enshrined at Dudy Noble Field. Hear from both Jim and Bobby as they reminisce on their careers and reflect on what this honor means to them.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Familiar Territory. For the second consecutive season, Mississippi State women’s golfer, Julia Lopez Ramirez hoisted the trophy as the SEC Champion. The Bulldog legend secured her second title in as many years with a final round 5-under 65 to finish at 10-under par for the tournament — three strokes ahead of second place.

As a team, the Bulldogs have advanced to match play of the SEC Championship on Monday where they will take on Kentucky in the quarterfinals. The winner of the quarterfinal match will advance to the semifinals later in the day. Fans are encouraged to watch the semifinals live on SEC Network, or by clicking HERE.

🔼 History Made. Bulldog softball secured the first run-rule win over a top-five team in Mississippi State history on Friday night against No. 4 Tennessee. The Bulldogs scored in every inning and brought home the final run on a walk-off passed ball. State's nine runs came home on nine hits, including four doubles.

🗣️ “They did a really good job of locking in and preparing all week long. Just a complete game – our offense, our defense, our pitching. It was just really fun to see their confidence continue to grow as we get deeper into the season against these quality top-five opponents." - Samantha Ricketts

🔼 Split Weekend Success. State track and field broke records, stood on podiums and took home event wins this weekend at the Bryan Clay Invitational and Tom Jones Invitational. At the Bryan Clay, Peyton Bair took home second place with 7,730 points in the decathlon where he finished with two personal bests. At the Tom Jones, Rosealee Cooper secured a gold medal in the 200m with a time of 23.60 and the women’s 4×100 moved into the all-time top five with a time of 44.48.

🔼 Road Dawgs. State men’s tennis wrapped up its regular season on the road with a 4-2 victory over Arkansas, the fifth consecutive match the Bulldogs have won on the road against a ranked opponent. The win also secured a third-place finish in the SEC standings ahead of the conference tournament.

🔼 Special Day. Bulldog women’s tennis closed out the regular season with an SEC win on Senior Day. Honoring seniors Chloe Cirotte and Alexandra Mikhailuk, claimed the 4-1 victory over Missouri. State will be the No. 13 seed in the SEC Championships and meet Kentucky on Wednesday at 2 p.m. for the first round of the postseason.
