🔼 Series Dub. Mississippi State baseball received a two-hit shutout from Karson Ligon and Stone Simmons on Sunday, with the Diamond Dawgs taking the rubber match of its series against South Carolina, 6-0. Mississippi State scored five runs in the fourth inning to blow the game open, including a home run from Noah Sullivan to begin the scoring.

🔼 Keep It Rolling. No. 12 Mississippi State men’s tennis picked up another win over the weekend, defeating No. 29 Auburn, 5-2, on Senior Day. After taking the doubles point, the Bulldogs got singles wins from Benito Sanchez Martinez, Petar Jovanovic, Roberto Ferrer Guimaraes and Bryan Hernandez Cortes.

🔼 On Your Left. Mississippi State track and field competed at the Florida Relays over the weekend, with a new program record and three top-five all-time performances on Friday. Jessicka Woods clocked a 57.37 to win her section and finish seventh overall in the 400m hurdles, setting a program record with her time.

The Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services (MDRS) is proud to partner once again with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) to launch the 2025 PROM Campaign—"Please Return On Monday." Now in its eighth year, this impactful program educates high school students about the importance of making safe driving decisions during prom season. Through powerful presentations, students learn about the dangers of impaired and distracted driving, the importance of seatbelt use, and the life-changing consequences of risky behavior behind the wheel.
Throughout the campaign, MHP Public Affairs Officers, MDRS representatives, and MDRS client speakers share real-life stories to emphasize how one decision can alter lives forever. Survivors recount their experiences with crashes caused by reckless driving, underscoring the reality that surviving doesn’t mean escaping consequences. Since its launch in 2018, PROM has grown exponentially, reaching over 13,100 students in 2024 alone. With momentum building, the 2025 campaign is already off to a strong start with 22 presentations scheduled. MDRS and MHP remain committed to ensuring Mississippi’s youth make safe choices and return on Monday. To schedule a presentation, contact [email protected] or call 1-800-443-1000.
