🔼 Down, But Never Out. Down six in the bottom of the sixth inning, Bulldog softball stormed back with seven runs to top No. 10 Florida, 13-12 for the team’s eighth win against a ranked opponent this season. The win also marked State's largest comeback win since erasing a six-run deficit on April 3, 2021. The Bulldogs’ rally was capped by a Paige Cook two-out, two-run, game-winning homer.

🗣️ "I think we knew going into it that it was going to be a battle. I don't know if we quite expected an offensive battle in Game 1, but it is two of the top offenses in the conference. I'm just really proud of the fight the girls showed. Even when we got down big by six there, they never seemed discouraged.” - head coach, Samantha Ricketts

🔼 Fought ‘Til The End. In a contest that included 10 lead changes and eight ties, Mississippi State fell to Penn State 92-87 in the WBIT Quarterfinals. Jerkaila Jordan finished with a career-high 36 points and six rebounds while Jessika Carter added 21 points on 8-9 from the field with eight rebounds. The 36 points from Jordan are the most points scored by any Mississippi State individual in a non-NCAA Tournament event in program history. The Bulldogs conclude the season with a 23-12 record and have recorded back-to-back 20-win seasons in as many seasons under head coach Sam Purcell.

🔼 Going Down To Gainesville. The Diamond Dawgs will head to the swamp this weekend to face off against the No. 6-ranked Florida Gators for a three-game series. State is coming off a big win over Samford in which the Bulldogs scored four runs in extra innings to earn its 18th win of the season. The Dawgs will face off against a top-10 team within the SEC for the third series in a row, entering the clash with a 3-3 conference record.

🔼 Spring Has Sprung. The Diamond Dawgs will once again be a big part of the time-honored tradition of MLB Opening Day as 11 Bulldog alums take the field on Thursday as members of big-league rosters. Last year was a successful one for several former MSU standouts. Nathaniel Lowe and Chris Stratton both won World Series rings as members of the Texas Rangers while Oakland A’s slugger Brent Rooker received his first All-Star invitation. Additionally, J.P. France and Jordan Westburg both made their MLB debuts in 2023, bringing the Bulldogs' total of all-time Major Leaguers to 68.

🔼 Dear Ol’ State. On the latest episode of the Dear Ol' State podcast, Joel Coleman and Logan Lowery discuss a little football – both past and present. Listen in to the latest from MSU head coach Jeff Lebby, plus hear from former Bulldog linebacker and two-time Super Bowl champion Wille Gay Jr., who was back in town on Thursday for Willie Gay Day.
