All-Access: Howell Trophy. The Howell Trophy is an award given annually to the best men's college basketball player in the state of Mississippi by the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame, and this year’s winner was none other than Josh Hubbard.

🎥 ONE

One: Finish (S.1 E.15). In the 15th episode of "One," the Bulldogs break free from a five-game losing streak, clinching a crucial victory on Senior Day. The episode revolves around the powerful theme of "Finish," capturing the team's collective determination to end the regular season on a high note, and more importantly, finish what they’ve started.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Running Man. For the second week in a row, Mississippi State’s Jordan Ware has been named the SEC Men’s Runner of the Week. Ware leads the nation in the 200m, ranks fifth in the 100m, and is a leg in the 4x100m that ranks 13th on the 2024 outdoor season performance list. He is the only freshman to finish with two top SEC times for the second week in a row, leading to his conference accolade.

🔼 Earned In Extras. The Diamond Dawgs took down Samford in extras thanks to a four-run 10th inning. The Maroon and White's bats stayed hot as they accumulated 11 hits and hit three home runs, including Dakota Jordan and Hunter Hines hitting back-to-back home runs. Jordan went 3-for-4 with three RBIs, and Hines went 2-for-5 with two RBIs. The Bulldogs will be back in action for SEC play in Gainesville against Florida for a three-game series starting Friday.

🔼 Ranked Dawgs. Teams are rising to new heights as a trio of Mississippi State programs climbed the rankings in the most recent polls in their respective sports.

🥎 State softball reached a season-best ranking in the Softball America poll as the No. 15 team in the country. Across the four major polls, the Bulldogs were slotted anywhere from the No. 15 to No. 17 team in the nation.

⚾️ The Diamond Dawgs finished as high as No. 17 in the country according to D1Baseball America. Across four polls, State baseball was ranked 17th, 21st, and 23rd.

🎾 Men’s Tennis came in at No. 13 in the latest ITA Team Rankings, up six spots from the previous week. The Bulldogs climbed the leaderboard thanks to two comeback wins on the road against a pair of top-35 teams.

🔼 Season’s End. The final round at the Old Barnwell Derby Match Play saw the Bulldogs finish in a tie with No. 18 Florida State. An up-and-down match resulted in two individual points apiece. The Maroon and White’s two points came from Avery Weed, who earned the first, followed by Julia Lopez Ramirez. With the regular season all wrapped up, Bulldog women’s golf will head to Belleair, Florida, for the SEC Championship on April 12.
