🔼 Final From The Dance. The Bulldogs’ 2023-24 men's basketball season came to an end on Thursday following an NCAA Tournament first-round loss to Michigan State, 69-51. Josh Hubbard scored a team-high 15 points for the State including a trio of 3-pointers. Tolu Smith III added nine points and Cameron Matthews and D.J. Jeffries tallied eight apiece, but it wasn't enough to push Mississippi State into the big dance's round of 32. After reaching the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year, the Dawgs' season concluded with a 21-14 overall record which included three victories over AP Top-10 teams.

🔼 Heading To Hog Country. Bulldog softball prepares for another top-25 matchup this weekend as the team travels to Fayetteville, Arkansas, to face the Razorbacks for a three-game series. The 22-6 squad will kick off the series today at 6 p.m. and will play on Saturday and Sunday for a chance to add to their three conference wins this season. State is gaining momentum after picking up a midweek 10-2 win over Alabama State.

🔼 On To The Next. Bulldog women’s basketball’s Lauren Park-Lane set the single-season assist record and all nine players scored to propel Mississippi State to a wire-to-wire win, 84-47, over Georgia Tech in the First Round of the WBIT inside Humphrey Coliseum. State advances to the Second Round of the WBIT and will host No. 3 seed TCU on Sunday at 2 p.m. CT on ESPN+.

🔼 Road Tested. The Diamond Dawgs were defeated by Texas A&M, 6-3, in the first game of the SEC series. Seven different Bulldogs accumulated a hit in the contest including Hunter Hines and David Mershon who drove in each of the team’s three runs. State will continue the series with a matchup today at 6 p.m. followed by the series finale on Saturday at 2 p.m.

🔼 Day One Done. On day one of the Bulldog Alumni Relays, personal records were set by State track and field. Sophomore Tafada Wright led the women to a fourth-place finish in the hammer throw with a personal-record distance of 49.48m. Freshman Megan Womack set a personal record with a distance of 44.63m earned on her third attempt, and Rickea Atkins also set a personal best in her first outdoor meet of the season with a distance of 35.96m.
