To prepare for No. 8 seed Mississippi State’s game tomorrow against No. 9 seed Michigan State, here are Five Things To Know about the matchup.
🔼 Left No Doubt. Down 9-3 in the fifth inning, Mississippi State baseball scored 14 runs over the next four frames, beating Memphis 17-9 on Tuesday at Dudy Noble Field.
The first five hitters in the Bulldog order — Amani Larry, David Mershon, Dakota Jordan, Hunter Hines and Connor Hujsak — all had multiple hits in the game.
🔼 Midweek In Montgomery. Mississippi State softball plays its fourth true road game of the season today, traveling to Montgomery, Ala. to take on Alabama State at 3pm.
The Hornets are 12-16 on the season and dropped its SWAC series to Bethune-Cookman last weekend, but won Game 3 of that series to carry some momentum into Wednesday’s contest.
🔼 No One Better. Six hits, four of them home runs. Thirteen RBI, seven of them in one game.
