🔼 Moving On. Bulldog men’s basketball used the second half to propel itself to a 70-60 victory over LSU on Thursday at the SEC Tournament. After trailing 29-22 at halftime, the Bulldogs outscored the Tigers 48-31 over the final 20 minutes of action to advance to Friday's quarterfinal round. Freshman Josh Hubbard led the Dawgs in scoring with 24 points — 14 of which came in the second half. Dashawn Davis contributed another 12 for State and D.J. Jeffries and Tolu Smith III neared double-doubles after combining for 16 points and 24 rebounds. The Bulldogs will now face off against top-seeded Tennessee today at noon in Nashville for a chance to reach the conference semifinal.

🔼 Road Work Ahead. State women’s tennis will hit the road for a pair of matches against ranked SEC opponents this weekend. On Friday, the Bulldogs will face off against No. 64 Kentucky followed by a matchup against No. 30 Vanderbilt on Sunday. Alexandra Mikhailuk tops State with a dozen singles wins this season, including a 9-2 mark in dual match play while Dharani Niroshan, Maria Rizzolo and Jayna Clemens have all reached double-digit singles wins.

🔼 Stacking Up. Mississippi State women’s standout golfer, Julia Lopez Ramirez, earned her sixth SEC Golfer of the Week award of her collegiate career. The Bulldog was honored with the accolade following her victory at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate — the seventh of her career. Lopez Ramirez shot 67-77-64 to finish with a three-day total of 208 (-5) on the par 71 course, and carded the most birdies of the tournament, picking up 15 over three days.

🔼 Proper Good Time. Bulldog soccer faced off against Wembley Academy in the team’s second international match in program history and came away with a win to improve State’s record to 2-0 across the pond. The London Tour continues through the weekend as the Bulldogs will play in their last matches of the trip against Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.

🔼 Taming The Wild. The Diamond Dawgs will open up SEC play at The Dude this weekend as they welcome the No. 2-ranked LSU Tigers. The Bulldogs enter the matchup having won nine of the last 10 games; most recently in an 11-inning thriller that ended with an Aaron Downs walk-off hit. State is currently 13-5 on the season while the defending national champion Tigers come in with a 14-2 record.

🔼 Off To Schenkel. The top 25-ranked Bulldog men’s golf team will compete at the 44th annual Schenkel Invitational. State is one of two ranked teams in the 14-team field which also includes No. 17 Florida, Army, Kentucky, South Carolina and host Georgia Southern. The Bulldogs are set to tee off at 8 a.m. CT on Friday to start the first round and will send out the same six men who competed at the Seminole Intercollegiate earlier this week.
