📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Run Rule. State softball sent 15 batters to the plate and scored a single-inning season-high 12 runs in the fourth inning as the Bulldogs cruised to their 11th run-rule victory of the season against ULM. Nadia Barbary and Madisyn Kennedy each hit grand slams as it was the third time in program history the Bulldogs have accomplished that feat in a single game. Six Bulldogs had a hit in the contest, with five collecting multi-hit games. Kennedy finished with a career-high seven RBIs while Barbary scored five, Sierra Sacco drove in a pair, and Paige Cook provided the final run with a bases-loaded walk.

🔼 Quick Learner. Bulldog men’s tennis freshman Marshall Landry was not expecting to play in his first season, but his improvement and effort on the court showed he was ready for collegiate play. Three days after the choice to remove his redshirt status, Landry won his first match against South Alabama and ended up finishing the ITA Southern Regional Championship with a 2-1 record.

🗣️ "My whole perspective of what I could do for the team changed in an instant. My game improved very quickly, and it was awesome that the coaches saw that and wanted me to play." - Marshall Landry

🔼 Tournament Time. Bulldog men's basketball turns its attention to the SEC Tournament where a second-round matchup with LSU awaits the Bulldogs at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Earlier this season, State captured an 87-67 victory over the Tigers behind a stellar shooting performance and a 47-point second half. The winner will advance to face top seed and No. 5 Tennessee during Friday's quarterfinal action.

🔼 International Fixture. Over in London, Bulldog soccer had the opportunity to face off against one of the top English clubs in the team’s first international fixture in program history. State soccer faced the U21 Aston Villa squad, and after 90 minutes, came out on top for a 2-1 victory. The Bulldogs will continue their trip across the pond the rest of the week with more matches to be played.

🔼 For The Win. The Diamond Dawgs picked up their first extra-inning win of the season with a 2-1 win over New Orleans and the Hancock Whitney Classic. Aaron Downs came up to the plate with the bases loaded and walked off the Bulldogs with a single to score a runner and improve State to 13-5 on the season. Nolan Stevens scored the other run for the Bulldogs with a solo shot to right field. Mississippi State is back in action for the first SEC series at The Dude against LSU.
